The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to auction.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
- But, their status as important members in the influential clan could enable the group reach areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The cleric defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent next week, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners tables.
Fans can expect learning which characters will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on October 24.
